This is where the answers to our Side Quests for Wanderers are gathered, waiting patiently for those who have followed the clues, considered the possibilities, and decided they are ready to see whether their reasoning led them down the right path. There is no particular glory in being right, of course—but there is a certain satisfaction in discovering that the trail you followed actually did lead where you thought it would.
The answer key will grow as new side quests make their way into the Hearthbook. Each puzzle will bring you here when you are ready, so there is no need to go searching through old posts or wander the whole village looking for the solution you seek.
And if the answer you find here is not the one you reached yourself, well... perhaps that is worth pondering, too. Logic has a funny habit of revealing where we made an assumption we did not realize we were making.

Answer to The Elder's Errands
Clue 3 gives the Village Merchant the Silver Lantern outright. That leaves the Frostbloom Herb and the Old Map for the Herbalist and the Caravan Trader. Clue 2 rules out the Frostbloom Herb for the Caravan Trader, so the Caravan Trader must have the Old Map, which leaves the Frostbloom Herb for the Herbalist. Clue 1 confirms this, since the Herbalist not having the Lantern matches the Merchant already having it.
The Caravan Trader brought back the Old Map.
Answer to The Keeper's Missing Things
Clue 3 tells you the Sealed Letter belongs to either the Hedge Witch or the Keeper, which rules the Bard out of the Letter entirely. Combined with clue 2, that means the Bard must have the Brass Key. Clue 1 rules out the Dried Sage Bundle for the Hedge Witch, and since the Brass Key is already taken by the Bard, the Hedge Witch must have the Sealed Letter. That leaves the Dried Sage Bundle for the Keeper of the Hearth.
